iPhone Application Review - Las Vegas casinos Banned iPhone blackjack card counting Application

Card counting iPhone application frowned upon in Online Casinos

Apple's iPhone has already taken a big stake of the mobile phone market. With loads of amazing features and built-in applications, iPhone is going to the the hearthrob of the generation. Now the next version - iPhone 3G has put even more enticing features all at your fingertips. This review is on an iPhone application that has given hard blow to the Online Casinos. A new hi-tech iPhone blackjack card counting application moved the online gamblers! BlackJack gamblers can cheat at the gambling table by using the blackjack card-counting iPhone application.

Very recently mass voice was raised against the use of iPhone blackjack card counting application. According to a report released by Associated Press, the Las Vegas casino operators are currently on the lookout for blackjack cheaters who are using the card-counting application on their iPhones. Nevada State Gaming Control Officials warranted a caution to the online casinos about the fact the hi-tech card-counting software is smart enough to turn iPhone and iPod Touch MP3 players into a tool that can be used to beat the odds at the blackjack tables in Nevada.

In his letter to the casino operators, Randall Sayre, who is the Nevada gaming control board member mentioned: "Once this program is installed on the phone through the iTunes website it can make counting cards easy. When the program is used in the 'Stealth Mode' the screen of the phone will remain shut off, and as long as the user knows where the keys are located the program can be run effortlessly without detection."

Associated Press reported that by using this application program gamblers can tap a virtual button on the screen, every times a cards 10 or with a higher value gets turned up. Interestingly the gamblers can also tap a different button (virtual) on the screen as soon as a low-value card is turned up. This hi-tech iPhone application runs through a software that continually shows the real time count by updating the true count. The users of this iPhone application get tracks of the cards with total values, closest to 21 points without exceeding that particular amount. By this the user gets a feedback regarding a gambler's probable chances to winning.

Search Engine Reviews - Microsoft's Bing is Here

"BING" - the word has been buzzing the world wide web for quite some time now. The Bing is here now! The newest take on the web by Microsoft is now open to the world since this morning - June 02, 2009, although it was about to go live on Wednesday, June 3, 2009. When the Search Engine giants like Google, yahoo, Altavista is already there in the market, what sets Microsoft's new Search Engine apart? What makes it different from these existing giants. This review on the new search Engine developed by Microsoft will clarify what Bing is all about. I am sure people all over the world got gripped in a bit of confusion to find Bing replacing Live.com. Yes, Live.com is redirecting to Bing.com since morning June 2, 2009.

Since its a new born baby with just a few hours of age, it is not devoid of technical drawbacks. I came across forums, where many international Internet users have stated that they noted different results and features in varied IP addresses and languages. Bing is not amongst those full proved Search Engines that have engulfed the lion share of World Wide Web.

Whatever the tech issues might be, Bing will hopefully come up with stronger and flawless version shortly. Keep your finger crossed! Check out the features that Bing has come up with...

Video Previews: Pretty cool this feature is, with tons of facilities for the users! Good news is that the international users are able to to watch pretty lengthy clips on Bing, which is helpful. There's another part of the story too! Loic Le Meur the founder and CEO of video conversation site Seesmic.com discovered something that's really annoying! Even after tweaking the safe search settings Loic discovered that Bing could preview any video clip, including the restricted ones.

Search Categories: The meeting held in the last week at the unveiling of the Search Engine, Bing, Steve Ballmer the CEO of Microsoft defined the current search one-dimensional. He said people can "find information quickly and use the information they've found to accomplish tasks." This will grow to become a lot more helpful. Currently, broad searches in Bing for terms with deep results are bringing up suggestive categories to try searching under and the results are pretty detailed and are showing up things even at micro level. For instance a search for "cell phones" yields links for reviews, price comparison, repairs, and so many other good stuff including shopping links, images and related videos. The overall search results count to 132,000,000, while for the same buzz phrase Google returns 120,000,000 results. Interestingly Bing seems to organize the search results neatly for every single search and semi-specific categories.

Shopping start point: This could set Bing apart from the existing Search Engines. Bing has already taken over the Microsoft's previous product (Search Engine) Live.Com, where users could occasionally find amazing cash-back bonuses and sophisticated shopping points. Keeping focused on the great shopping start point feature, Bing can mark a difference with more effective and smarter results.

RSS feed results: Although nothing worthy enough boast at, but the browser should detect an RSS feed on the results page for search terms automatically, and, given that. Since it's a new search database, Bing's results feeds might come up with some newest and you some new and very intriguing results.

Read out the extracts of some early reviews on Bing:

Gizmodo: "In the automatically generated top links for Gizmodo are months-old links to single posts about the second Bill Gates/Seinfeld ad and leaked box shots of the Zune 16GB and 160GB models. Really?"

Ars Technica: "The results for some queries blow my mind: how is it possible that the results can be so preposterously useless? Other times, though, a comparison with the old Live Search shows that Bing obviously has had its algorithm tweaked for the better."

Mashable: "There's at least three very different versions of Bing right now, and depending on where you are, your Bing experience will be very different. It's a very weird decision from Microsoft, bound to cause a lot of confusion, but hey: it's the Microsoft way."

Technologizer: "Bing attempts to differentiate itself from what Steve Ballmer would call "the market leader" in search by focusing on helping users with four common action-oriented search tasks: making a purchase, planning a trip, researching a health condition and finding a local business."

ReadWriteWeb: "The main difference between the two search engines is that Bing offers more options on the left, including special sections for symptons, medication, children, etc. It also offers 'related searches', which with health-related searches is typically helpful ... With Google you can get more options too, but you have to click "Show Options..." - which we're not sure how many users do."

Symantec Claims Mac OS Targeted by Malicious Spyware

Sometimes back in late 2007, Symantec, who made one of the most popular program suite Norton Utilities, came up with scary prediction for the Mac users, claiming that the Mac Operating System had been increasingly becoming a target for the certain malicious activities that, they thought were mostly associated with Microsoft. This prediction made by the “global leader in information security” moved the Internet mob across the globe, especially the niche Mac users. Although there's no record about it, but it is for sure that many Mac users have purchased Symantec anti spyware and virus resisting software. Symantec had a good business out of that! Now the question is how many Mac OS had been targeted during the tenure. No news of Mac Os targeted have been published across the net. Good news is that, Symantec admitted that the prediction made by them about increasing Mac-targeted spyware was not correct. That was like crying wolf by the “global leader in information security”, Symantec. Most importantly Symantec has not seen any news of new Mac-related threats these days.

This is definitely a safe time for the Mac users, but that doesn't mean that Mac is absolutely safe life time and free from spywares and viruses. While just notice OS X Software Updates, you can fnd that Apple releases new security updates every few months in order to facilitate the esteemed Mac users preventing their Mac from being targeted by malicious spyware and viruses. Although Mac OS has been designed, keeping the security issues in mind, so most vulnerabilities are really hard to be exploited. Exploiting the vulnerability requires "socially engineered user interaction”.

Perfumes and fragrances are categorized into number of families based on the notes and the odor they have been layered. Almost all fragrances have refreshing aromatic fougère base, but some are still in the queue with certain other unique bases.

Here are some basic fragrance categories:

Fragrances of Citrus Family: The fragrances falling under the citrus family have the aesthetic notes of fruit oils. Some Iranian and French perfume brands that have marked their name in the global market, use lime, oranges, grapes, lemon, bergamot, tangerine and apricots as basic notes. Some leaders in the industry are known for aesthetically using the predominant notes of peaches too. Example includes: The first Eaux de Cologne. Known for its lingering effect Chypre by Coty earned high degree of popularity in 1917.

Fragrances of Drywoods Family: The drywoods bases are chiefly for men’s use. Perfumes falling under drywoods family spread unique woody fragrances when dried up, along side the additional notes of leather or tobacco or cedar or burnt woods. Some leading brands apply a dash of citrus note to slightly fade off the intensity of the masculine woody notes. This gives the fragrance a special effect too!

Fragrances of Floral Family: Floral base, being another unique family of fragrance have awesome soft notes. The perfumes falling under this fragrance family are chiefly for hers. Appeared in 1900’s for the first time, the oriental floral base of fragrances been admired by the women afflicted to fashion in vogue. Fragrances of Fougère base: Fougère, which means “Fern” in French is another unique fragrance category. Derived from the oils of some harmless forest herbs and grasses this family of fragrance has easily marked a presence in the industry. Having superb oriental notes of fragrances with spicy bases of citrus or softwoods or even selective floral base, the Fougère fragrance family has enticed the huge section of the fashionable male population. Examples include: Joop Homme, Hugo Boss Boss in Motion Gaultier Le Male and Prada Pour Homme.

Fragrances falling under Chypre Family: With very refreshing notes of citrus, blended with inconspicuous fragrances of woody tones of oakmoss or patchouli, the Chypre family of fragrances have revolutionized the aroma world. Statistics show that a big section of men’s population of modern fashion, are more inclined to Chypre fragrance family.

Apple Ignited a Spark in iPhone Application Revolution

Sparks flew all around with Apple spearheading the iPhone revolution! The first launch of iPhone made unexpectedly amazing blast in the global market, but the fire storm cooled down with the spread out of the iPhone virus news.

Apple engineers started to burn their midnight oil to upgrade their revolutionary iPhone. After nights of hard work Apple declared that iPhone will run the third-party application only if they are designed according to the Web 2.0 Internet standards. That's really a great news, which made some people raise their eyebrows with shriek of surprises! Yes, developers can now create web 2.0 applications that can be run on iPhone, just as smoothly as iPhone's built-in applications. Good news is that even with the third-part app installed the users can seamlessly access their iPhone’s services, such as making phone calls, accessing Google map and sending emails. Apple claimed that users won't have to compromise security and reliability while using the third-party application on their iPhones, provided the app is created using Web 2.0 standards. “Developers and users alike are going to be very surprised and pleased at how great these applications look and work on iPhone,” said Steve Jobs, CEO, Apple. He continued, “our innovative approach, using Web 2.0-based standards, lets developers create amazing new applications while keeping the iPhone secure and reliable.”

What's the difference between the application that people have been using and the ones that are programmed using web 2.0 standards? To put it in the simplest way, the applications based on web 2.0 standards are more responsive, interactive, and user-friendly as compared to the web application that we have traditionally been using. Moreover, web 2.0-based applications can easily be distributed across the web without technical hassles.

iPhone Virus Warrants Caution to Third-Part Applications Installers

third-party apps iPhone Virus trojan in iPhone trojan iPhone firmware third-party applications iphone virus in iphones
iPhone craze is gradually putting an end to the cell phone generation by kicking of a boom in the hi-tech world. The iPhone madness all over the world have affected people irrespective of age and gender. But money is the name of the game - beyond all doubts! Had the price been within the range of affordability of the general mass, iphone craze would have eradicated what we call cell phone by now. With amazing applications designed for iPhone, it's one of the path breaking technology such as Multi-Touch interface, GPS, 3D positional audio, real-time 3D graphics and the accelerometer. All you need to do is to tap into the App Store and pick from thousands of enticing apps that you want to download.

Along side all these boons, iPhone has spread the fear of virus - iPhone virus! Whatever name you give to it - a virus or a technical fault, the program meticulously screws you by ceasing the software to work for you. Cnet says: It’s called "iPhone firmware 1.1.3 prep", which according to them is "an important system update." The program isn't a menace as it only displays the message "shoes"; it doesn't do any harm other than refraining certain third-party applications from working well on iPhone. The program messes with applications like Launcer, Doom, Erica’s Utilities and OpenSSH, However, it's original apps work like magic! It may also happen that all the host sites may be shut down abruptly. It's just a result of bad programming... it seems.

A report of the discovery of first Trojan for the iPhone was documented by the major iPhone enthusiast site: iPhone enthusiast site Modmyifone.com, followed by a confirmation from the security research organization F-Secure. Technical experts says that the so-called iPhone virus doesn't pose any big risk for the general iPhone users. The Trojan actually attacks the third-party apps only and hence robs off the excitement of users who tend to modify their iPhones for installation of third-party applications in to their hi-tech device. According to Modmyifone.com all the app does is displays "shoes". But once you uninstall the application, it removes the files from /bin directory on the iPhone. This consequently breaks off the valid applications like "Erica's Utilities" and "Sendfile". On its website, F-Secure said: "Hopefully this serves as a warning for those who have opened their iPhones using a security hole in the system and then installing unverified software without a second thought to what they are doing". Most amazingly, it was an 11-year-old child playing with XML files who created the Trojan, reported F-Secure! F-Secure said, "Next time it might be someone else with more skills and with specific target".
